What's up debt destroyers? Things have been busy around M$M lately. REALLY busy.
Here are a few things that I've been working on since update #1:
As you've probably noticed, I've completely redone the website. There were a lot of reasons for this…but mostly I wanted something that was built on a way better theme (Thesis) and was more customizable. I got tired of not being able to do what I wanted, so now I have a lot of flexibility. Yes, I did it myself. I'm cheap. The good thing is that I have learned a crazy amount about website creation lately. It's not quite finished, but it will most likely always be a work in progress. Remember: more skills = more $$$.
With every business, you have to try different things and see what you are good at. I've been playing around with my writing a lot lately, but mostly I've been feeling out certain topics. I've dabbled with some investing talk and other money things, but my main focus keeps coming back to student loans. It's easily the topic I am the most passionate about. Also, I can easily say I know a ton about them, and how to get rid of them quickly. I HAD to learn a lot about them when I was destroying my own loans.
In the next few months, I'd like to expand M$M to have more voices on the blog. There are a ton of great millennial voices out there that are always looking for more exposure. If you feel like you have some great content (money related would be preferred), go ahead and contact me here and we can discuss. You don't necessarily have to be a millennial either. The only way I was able to pay off my student loans and start building wealth early was by listening to people that had a lot of wisdom and life experience.
I'm not quite ready to announce anything yet because I don't have the legal infrastructure set up to do so. I am planning on creating at least one other company that involves my newly acquired internet skills. If you had asked me 6 months ago that I would be in a completely different industry than band, I would have laughed at you. Life is weird.
I Know You're Wondering
Yes, I'm making money. After 6 weeks of working for myself, it looks like I'll make more this year than I did as a teacher (not that the bar was set too high). I'm not saying everyone should go and quit their jobs tomorrow and do what I did, because there are unique challenges with working for yourself (healthcare and taxes). However, the early signs point to my leap of faith not ending in a horrific splat. If you want to keep supporting my efforts and help yourself out as well with some great products, go check out my recommended page here.
Until next time…
Live differently, your bank accounts will thank me later. -M$M
